Winter Cycling Holidays
Discover Australia by bike during winter (June, July or August)
Winter is an ideal time for a cycling holiday in Australia.
Australia has relatively mild winters, allowing travellers to cycle comfortably outdoors along scenic bike trails. Although winter is seen as an off-season time for tourism, the quieter crowds mean you'll have amenities and bike paths all to yourself.
Head to Queensland to cycle a range of great routes, including the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail and the Capricorn Coast. Spot whales on the New South Wales south coast or ride the Northern Rivers Rail Trail. Or rug up and explore the vineyards of the Barossa and Clare Valley in South Australia, or Mudgee and the Hunter Valley in NSW.
You can do it all when exploring Australia in winter (during June, July and August) on a self-guided or supported cycling holiday. If you have any questions about our Australian winter cycling tours, be sure to contact our friendly team for advice.
