Murray to Mountains Rail Trail: Beechworth to Everton

A 30 kilometre ride - all downhill! Enjoy the sealed trail surface for a gently ride through steep rail cuttings and rolling farmland or take the Flame Tree mountain bike track for more action. - Victoria's High Country

Murray to Mountains Rail Trail: Everton to Myrtleford

A leisurely half day pedal from Everton to Myrtleford is best ridden from Everton Station to Myrtleford. The station is cute and the trail heads through grazing properties and before climbing Taylors Gap. The ride down into Myrtleford is beautiful, passing Boyntons Feathertop Winery and the Myrtleford Loop trail is a must. Enjoy the 10kms rolling down to Myrtleford with grape vines, beautiful views, and final very gentle ascent into Myrtleford. - Victoria's High Country

30 kilometre pedal across the Ovens River (lovely for a cool dip in summer), past the Rail Trail Café and on past local produce and wineries with awe inspiring views of Mt Buffalo and plentiful stops to sip, savour and enjoy. - Victoria's High Country

Murray to Mountains Rail Trail: Wangaratta to Milawa

A leisurely pedal and taste along 16km (32km return) of rail trail from Apex Park in Wangaratta through countryside dotted with wineries, cafes and artisan food producers in the Milawa Gourmet Region. Views of Mt Buffalo, the King River and historic buildings punctuate the journey. - Victoria's High Country

Murray to Mountains Rail Trail: Bright to Wandiligong

While our itinerary doesn't include the extension from Bright to Wandiligong, it is possible to extend your trip by a day to incorporate this section (or if you're feeling particularly strong you could add it in).

A fabulous short pedal for the whole family from beautiful Bright to the quiet back lanes of Wandiligong. The Wandi Maze is worth a visit, the Royal Bridge Walk worth a wander and check out the Williams United Mine, returning past the Wandi Pub for cold drink and a meal, or pack a picnic and ride the Rail Trail to Alpine Park and let the children play on the playground. - Victoria's High Country Tourism.
