In September, John went on the Rainforest and Magnetic Island Cycle tour in Queensland. Safe to say, he had a fantastic time. Read on for his trip review.

 

 

"What a wonderful trip! It was our first cycling holiday and I was a little hesitant when booking it as I didn't know how difficult or easy the whole trip would be, especially when travelling in a group.

 

 

This trip was recently changed to use e-bikes, something else I hadn't tried before. They turned out to be a great option as each person can dial up the assistant to the level they feel comfortable with and nobody else has to know what that is. You can also turn it off altogether for a bit of a workout. As a result, everyone enjoyed the trip and nobody was left self conscious about falling behind or slowing the group down.

 

 

The bikes themselves were well maintained and the local guides were excellent - very friendly and helpful. By travelling to different locations during the trip, we got to experience a variety of locations, no doubt more than we would have if we visited by ourselves.
